What if I change my mind?
After you join a personal pension or a stakeholder pension scheme, you might change your mind. Personal pensions have a 14-day ‘cooling-off ’period. Some stakeholder pensions also have a 14-day cooling-off period, but some do not. The cooling-off period gives you a chance to change your mind if you want to. Of course, one of the key features of stakeholder pensions is that they are flexible. If you want to increase, reduce or stop your contributions, you can do so without being charged anything extra.
