Example of how an occupational pension can help you
Denzel is a 24-year-old office worker. He’s just started working for an employer who runs an occupational pension scheme. Although retirement is a long way off for Denzel, he has been worrying for some time about starting a pension. He was impressed that his new employer was prepared to make contributions for him. He also thought his employer’s scheme was right for him, so he has decided to join. If he can afford to save more, he will be able to increase his contributions or look at other pension options on top of his occupational scheme.
